The list of things to do is a mile long. Slowly but surely we have been chipping away at it. We leave in 39 days, and I’m sure they will feel like 19 days. Here’s what has been done:
-Rogers knows we’re moving, and our services are set up to be disconnected.
-Hydro know the same.
-Job is set up for me for when I arrive. I will be meeting with the president and one of the project managers to figure out my position.
-Dane is picking us up from the airport and driving us to his place which will be our home for the month of September.
-The redtroutsale has been mildly successful! Most of the big items have sold, minus the aquarium, tv, tv stand. The small items can either be given away if necessary, or packed away and stored at Sabrinas parents house. Either way, this joint must be emptied out by the time we leave.
Here’s what still has to be done:
-The government doesn’t know we’re moving yet but they need to so we can keep getting our GST checks!
-I need to tell OSAP so I don’t default my student loan.
-We need to purchase some new suitcases so we can max out our luggage capacity. a.k.a free shipping!
-We need to package up all the the things we want to ship, via greyhound, and get them ready to catch the bus.
-Our cats need to be taken to the vets to get their shots, and health certificates.
-We need to buy two cat travel carriers that meet airline standards so our cats can get on the flight with us.
-Today I am booking a suite at the Cyber Cat Lodge in Surrey BC so our cats have a home for the month of September. It seems like a great place where you can log on to the website and watch your cats through a security camera to make sure they are having fun and are ok!
-I need to start organizing pick-up dates for the people who have bough some of our stuff.
-We need to buy an inflatable queen size mattress so we have something to sleep on at Danes. We won’t go out and buy a bed until we are into our own place.
So that’s a little rundown… there is lots more but I can’t think of it all right now. Till next time, take care!
